The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Warriors Group
From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a diverse cast of personalities, and a thrilling plot including divine entities, evil spirits, and sinister influences growing in power within Dol-Makjar.
Heads-up: Spoilers for the latest installment of Campaign 4 lie ahead.
The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed
The third episode concluded with a huge suspense moment and presented the premier party of heroes who will split off from the main group to embark on their separate journey, distinct from the remaining groups.
The combat-focused team features Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).
Dividing the Cast
Considering an extensive roster, it was clear from the start that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unworkable.
Hence, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, intertwining the individual narratives before branching into three smaller tables: Warriors, Strategists, and Questers.
What Defines the Combat Party
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for participants who prefer a classically intense battle-oriented narrative style where peaceful solutions are scarce.
Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander might seem out of place, but the events of the latest installment show why these five characters are best suited for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the party has a clear idea where to head next after a brutal initial meeting with the antagonists.
A former ally of the deceased character—whose death initiated the narrative’s action—used the foes for his selfish purposes, invading the secret base, striking Thimble, and swiping all the magical artifacts to sell off.
The antagonist then settled his liabilities and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the city, with Teor’s brother close behind.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each character has a individual motive to exit the urban setting:
- Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, seeks revenge.
- Kattigan has experience in Timmony and warns that it is a dangerous place.
- Tyranny and Wicander, having defied his family’s wishes to kill Teor and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
- However, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could help the party enter places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Furthermore, Teor vowed a life debt to Wicander for his deliverance and will now follow him everywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Lastly, all of them are sought by the rulers that control the setting for a multiple motives, making staying in the city no longer safe:
- The rogue and The hero are known criminals.
- Tyranny and The healer betrayed the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
- Teor is wanted dead by the clan.
This leaves them little choice but to journey toward Timmony in pursuit of the traitor.
