Overcoming a 30-14 hole in the fourth quarter, the Seahawks triumphed 38-37 at home, notching their fifth straight victory.
While the Rams had become the first to earn a playoff berth earlier on Sunday, the Seattle team secured their place to the play-offs after a 24-month hiatus.
With this outcome, the Seahawks now lead their Conference race with a twelve and three mark, supplanting the Rams, who fell to the fifth playoff position with an 11-4 record.
